The Brooklyn Art Incubator is a neighborhood based non-profit with a charge to utilize art to empower youth with the creative and entrepreneurial spirit. We emphasize the Innovative thinking needed to navigate through career and life. We began in Brooklyn to establish relationships and collaborations with individuals, organizations, community groups and agencies.

Mission
BAI will strengthen Brooklyn communities by incubating local artistic talent and advancing the creative thinking necessary for youth development.
BAI will also support community based artist in their provision of services that respond to needs in their community. We possess the unique access and experience to bridge the gap between talent and success.
BAI will advance learning in the arts by capturing and preserving the diversity of communities and therefore strengthening them.

    Program Summary
    Brooklyn Art Incubator, Inc. (BAI) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 educational art institute. BAI was created to foster economic development thorough art by bridging the gap between young artists and seasoned art and business professionals. BAI's mission is to develop young artists between the ages of 12 and 18 into mature, successful business persons by incubating these artists through community based art and entrepreneurship programs primarily in Brooklyn, New York. BAI will offer the following programs:

    Young Artists Program
    Provide after school art programs at area high schools, junior high schools, community centers, and local arts organization that focus on developing student artists in various art mediums;
    Develop, curate, and showcase art produced by young artists;
    Teach business and entrepreneurship concepts by providing an outlet for the sale of artwork produced by young artists; and
    Offer mentoring opportunities that reflect the goals and objectives of students in the class.

    Art Instructor Development
    Provide community based workshops and training facilitated by BAI instructors and mentors;
    Contract with the NYC board of education to provide professional development workshops and training to local artists as well as newly appointed art teachers;
    Curate art produced by new artists; and
    Contract with local community based service providers to coordinate and manage new artist projects.

    Business Incubator Program
    Provide a workspace for new start-up art organizations looking to serve the Brooklyn community; and
    Provide workshops in small business management and entrepreneurship.
    The program designs focus on building a community foundation that will have a synergistic effect in the community. It will ensure continued nurturing and support until young artists are strong enough to be funneled into the greater art world.
